Lifting a Container with the Top Lift Frame

Once you have fitted the Top Lift Frame as discussed previously and if applicable, set it to the correct extension, the unit is ready to lift.

The Top Lift Frame attaches to the container using automatic twistlocks operated by the remote control.

To attach the Top Lift Frame to the container follow these steps:

1. Unlock the twistlocks by turning the Mode knob to Top Lift and pushing the front crane joystick inward. This will cause the red indicator lights to glow and a brightly coloured indicator rod to protrude from the end of the beam at each corner of the frame.
2. Return the Mode knob to Arm and, using the usual method, operate the cranes until the frame is above the container.
3. Lower the Top Lift Frame onto the container. When all four twistlocks have made contact with all four corner casting pockets, the amber light will glow.
4. Turn the Mode knob back to Top Lift. Push the front joystick outwards. This will lock the twistlocks. When successfully completed, the green light will glow and the indicator rods will no longer be visible.
5. Proceed with lift as normal.
6. When you have placed the container at its final destination, release the Top Lift Frame by turning the Mode knob to Top Lift and pushing the front joystick inwards. The red light should then glow.
