SBnote

When tightening fasteners on the axles or axle assemblies, refer to the axle documentation included in this folder for the correct torque settings.

Regularly monitor the wheel hubs for overheating. This is a sign of trouble in the brake or bearing adjustment. Another sign is difficulty turning the lifted wheel. If this is the case even when the brakes are released, there may be a problem in the wheel unit. This should be checked immediately by a specialised service centre.

Between 3 000 to 5 000 kilometres

When commissioning the Sidelifter, the brake systems of the trailer and tractor were linked and during operation, the EBS system works to tune the two together. This tuning needs to be checked by an authorised service centre after 3 000 to 5 000 kilometres of operation.

SBdanger

Documentation must be provided with any warranty claim related to the brake system performance, demonstrating that the tractor and trailer brake systems were checked by an authorised service agent. Any damage or degradation of quality of the brake systems caused by not synchronising the tractor and trailer brake systems together will not be covered under Steelbro's warranty terms.
