With the SMARTlift system 'ON' and the diesel engine running, plug the Downloading Tool (EL-34366) between the SMARTlift Diagnostic Port and PC USB port.

Start Winflash on the laptop PC by clicking the using the Winflash icon

The Winflash dialog is displayed.

Select the "Steelbro Front" item in the Configuration dropdown box.

Click the "Select" button and browse to the appropriate hex program file to upload.

Set the Flash Parameter "Local ID" value to 1.

Click the "Flash With Local ID" button.

Wait until the 'Flashing Finished' dialog box is displayed

Select 'Do not start (stay in sleep mode)'.

The Winflash dialog is displayed.

Select the "Steelbro Rear" item in the Configuration dropdown box.

Click the "Select" button and browse to the appropriate hex program file to upload.

Set the Flash Parameter "Local ID" value to 0.

Click the "Flash With Local ID" button.

Wait until the 'Flashing Finished' dialog box is displayed

Select 'Do not start (stay in sleep mode)'

Turn off the system by switching off the radio remote.

Power cycle the system twice to ensure the ECU loaded their location.

Go to the System information screen on the display and check to see that the correct program is installed. (ref TB0082)

Re-start and check all functions and safety features for correct operation.
