Version 2

There are two different methods of testing the hydraulic pressure on Sidelifters fitted with Danfoss PVG32 control valves.

  1. Simple test to establish if unit is within specification. Note that this does not give you the exact pressures at each valve or the individual valve pressures.
    1. Select High speed on the mode selection switch of the remote control.
    2. Operate the front top or bottom arm cylinder until it reached the end of its stroke.
    3. When it has reached the end of its stroke record the pressure on the pressure gauge mounted to the chassis or module.
    4. Repeat the above using the rear crane.
    5. Repeat all of the above with the unit set in low speed. Record results.

Result should be in accordance with Service Info H0008.2

  2. Detailed test.

This requires the following parts:

  1. Remove the top arm "up" hose from overcentre valve fitted to the arm cylinder. Fit hose for the gauge directly onto the end of this hose.
  2. Cap overcentre valve using the ½" BSPP caps.
  3. For each valve select High speed on the mode selection switch of the remote control. Operate the front top cylinder (up direction) and record the pressure on the pressure gauge while the joystick is fully deflected.
  4. Repeat the above using the rear crane.
  5. Repeat all of the above with the unit set in low speed. Record results.

Result should be in accordance with Service Info H0008.2

Results can be recorded on Service Info H0012.1
