TB0052 Change from Optical to Magnetic Sensor Strip on SL units

Description:

We are making a production change to all units with SMARTlift Load Monitoring, replacing the current castellated optical sensor strip on the stabiliser extension with a magnetic strip and sensor system.

Models and Markets:

All SMARTlift units including SB330's, SB361's and SB401's, in all markets from unit SB79xx.

BOM:

The spare parts lists that go out with the units will have updated spare parts lists. Retro fit parts kits are listed in SL0016.

Backward Compatibility:

This new system is backwardly compatible as a retro fit. For the Parts kit and instructions refer to SL0016.

Benefits and Advantages to Change:

The magnetic sensor strip has a wider active area, which means that it is more robust than the optical version. Also it works in a wider range of weather conditions and is particularly recommended in icy or snowy climates.
