TB0073 Hetronic to HBC Vendor Change

Description

The supplier of radio remote controls for Steelbro Sidelifters has changed from Hetronic to HBC Radiomatic.

Models and Markets

The changes commence for digital units from SB8631. Commencement for the analogue units will occur once current analogue stocks of the Hetronic units have been utilized. A revised technical bulletin will be issued to advise when this occurs.

EL-34386 SMARTlift Hetronic Cable Remote, is now, EL-39925 Remote Cable SMARTlift HBC

EL-33214 Series 3A Hetronic Radio Remote, is now, EL-39926 Remote Radio Series 3A HBC

Backward Compatability

SMARTlift HBC Radios cannot be used on Sidelifters prior to SB8631 unless they have a software upgrade to at least v3.44. Series 3A HBC Radios are fully backwards compatible.

Use Instructions

The operation of the new radios is identical to the old ones

The purpose of the change is to improve reliability of Sidelifter control systems
