Rud, our chain supplier has declared that our grade 100 16mm chainslings are capable of safely lifting a 40 tonne load in the standard unshortened configuration. Therefore it will now be possible to supply the SB401 with 16mm grade 100 chains. A tag (see attached) will be fitted to these chainslings indicating the conditions of use.
All SB401s for Australia will be fitted with the 16mm chainslings as default; however it will be an extra cost option for all other markets.
