Description:

This electrical kit is a retrofit to the SMARTlift system. Its purpose is to enable manual lowering of the lift axle when a manually operated pneumatic valve is not fitted.

Normally when SMARTlift is switched on the lift axle drops. But in the event of the tyres needing to be changed there is a risk that the lift axle could lift unexpectedly if the SMARTlift system was switched off.

A means must be provided for a technician to lower the lift axle in order to change the tyres and ensure that the risk of unexpected raising is minimized.

Models and Markets:

Typically any SMARTlift sidelifters fitted with a WABCO lift axle, most likely supplied into the Australian market. eg SB7763.

Backward Compatibility:

This kit is retrofittable to any SMARTlift 2.0 machine.

How to fit Override Kit:

Remove the two blocks circled in the picture above, if fitted.
Fit the new DIN rail as shown in the picture above, and replace the 3 way block at C1(2)B with the 4 way block (circled)
Connect the assembly as follows;
