This procedure applies to the following errors:
- Front memory sector 1 corrupt
- Front memory sector 2 corrupt
- Front memory sector 3 corrupt
- Rear memory sector 1 corrupt
- Rear memory sector 2 corrupt
- Rear memory sector 3 corrupt
- Memory sector 1 is the hours
- Memory sector 2 is the angle sensor calibration
- Memory sector 3 is the crane synchronisation data
It is normal for these errors to appear the first time an ECU is started. The reason for this is because the memory is empty and the computer interprets this as an error. In order to get rid of the error messages, the memory must be filled with data.
To do this:
Memory Sector 1 Fix for Front and Rear crane.
- Go to the Main Menu Then Manufacturers area, and enter the pin number available from Steelbro
- In the top right corner of the Manufacturers Area screen is a blip. Go to that and select it
- This will take you to a new screen where you can enter hours. Enter the pin number 3092
- Observe that an "OK" text flashes up and toggles from left to right
- Enter the required number of hours eg: 10
Memory Sector 2 Fix for Front and Rear crane.
To fix this, use the calibration procedure for the front and rear cranes.
(shortcut to get rid of error message
go to: Menu/Manufacturers Area/Calibrate Angle Sensors/Calibrate All)
Be careful about performing a "Calibrate ALL". If you don't have an error message for "Memory Sector #2 Corrupt", then DO NOT do this because you will lose all the work you did to calibrate each arm (you should only use "Calibrate Individual" setting).
Memory Sector 3 Fix for Front and Rear crane.
To fix this go to Menu/Crane Synchronisation, and enter the pin number 1112
Go into Top Arm crane synchronisation and change by 1 the value for:
- Top Arm Up on the front crane
- Top Arm Up on the rear crane
