Note: This procedure is illustrated on a SB330.

In order to ensure reliable operation of the Stabiliser Extension Optical Sensor, it is necessary to check that the distance from the outside of the stabiliser housing to the stabiliser extension web is within tolerance.

It is necessary to check the dimension at three Stabiliser Extensions:

  1. With the Stabiliser extended just beyond the K-Pin doubler plate, measuring to the web. For a SB361/SB401 this measurement should be taken with the stabiliser fully retracted.

  1. With the Stabiliser approximately half extended, measuring to the web.
  2. Repeat with the Stabiliser nearly fully extended.

  1. For undersize dimensions obtain a shim to obtain mid tolerance measurement. Report oversize dimensions to engineering.
