A new and improved pressure sensor is now being installed in production units. Existing units can be updated also.
The Pressure sensor is fitted at the bottom of the top lift cylinder. Its purpose is to estimate the weight on the arm, so it is a fundamental component of the load monitoring system.
The original pressure sensors are sensitive to overloading so a short vertical pressure such as a knock by a straddle carrier can cause it to fail.
The new pressure sensors have a dampener fitted into them which protects them from damage.
Identify whether pressure sensor has dampener and if not, replace.
Pressure sensors with serial No. below 06.024451.xxx do not include the damping element.
Pressure sensors with a D in the code number i.e. A09D, do have them.
Some pressure sensors without a D but with a serial No. equal or over 06.024451.xxx are also built up with this element.
