Helpful hint: Try slowing down the fast arm instead of speeding up the slow arm as you may run the risk of running out of available oil flow to gain speed / synchronization.

In the main control box cabinet are two Danfoss EHF units (electronic hydraulic flow controllers).
Each EHF has four adjustment screws. Clockwise rotation increases the hydraulic flow and anti clockwise decreases hydraulic flow.
The EHF adjustments only effect the arm speed and synchronization in LOW SPEED. Therefore when setting up to obtain the speed / times shown below, low speed MUST be selected and the EHF's set to a slower speed (longer time) than that shown on the sketch. Then make small adjustments to obtain the synchronization within the times shown.

Set correct engine speed. a) For a Power Pack version. Check engine maximum speed is 2800 RPM. b) For a PTO version. Set truck engine RPM to obtain 100-120 l/min oil flow to the Sidelifter. |

Set both EHF controller adjusting screws to a slower speed (anti clockwise = longer time/ slower speed ) than that shown in the sketch. |

Select arms as well as low speed on the remote control. |

Select both top arms up with the joysticks at full deflection and time the arms over their full stroke. Refer to the times below. Small adjustments of the appropriate screws on the EHF can be made to obtain the correct times and synchronization. Carry out the same procedure for all other arms remembering that both arms must be operated together (the following times cannot be used to time just one arm). |

Obtain a 15 - 20 tonne container and check the arms are synchronized under normal loading and unloading conditions. Small adjustments may be required to achieve this. |
